Privacy Policy

• Account information such as your name, email address, login identifiers, role, and contact details you choose to provide.
• Buyer and seller profile details needed to use LocalPlug, including saved names, seller verification status, and marketplace activity.
• Seller shop details such as shop name, business type, description, public seller location, building or residence label, collection instructions, and seller phone number when added.
• Orders, cart items, fulfilment method, delivery or collection instructions, totals, status updates, and payment method labels such as Cash or EFT.
• Chat messages, order messages, reviews, ratings, support requests, and admin moderation notes needed to keep orders and shops safe.

LocalPlug uses location only to show nearby sellers, calculate distance, and help with delivery or collection. We do not request background location.

Buyer Browse location is kept in the browser for a short session so results stay local. Precise buyer delivery location may be saved with an order only when needed to fulfil delivery, calculate distance, support the order, or resolve a dispute.

Seller shop location is public because buyers need it to decide whether to order, collect, or request delivery from that seller.

• Show nearby sellers and relevant products.
• Create, confirm, update, and support orders.
• Help buyers and sellers communicate about orders.
• Display seller shops, reviews, ratings, availability, and public shop links.
• Protect users, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, and operate admin review tools.
• Provide support and send important service messages.

Buyers and sellers see information needed to complete an order, such as order items, delivery or collection details, chat messages, reviews, and public seller shop information. We do not sell user personal information.

LocalPlug may use hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, maps, and messaging providers to operate the service. These providers process data only as needed to provide LocalPlug.

LocalPlug may show payment labels such as Cash or EFT so the buyer and seller know the intended hand-off method. LocalPlug does not collect card numbers or bank login details in the current marketplace flow.

We keep account, shop, order, chat, review, and support records for as long as needed to operate LocalPlug, provide support, comply with legal obligations, and protect marketplace safety.

You can request account deletion from the deletion page or by contacting support. Some order or safety records may be kept where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or dispute reasons.
